The Siblinghood of Emigrated Queers: A Documentary Play by Jenya Stashkov and Vladislava Petrova
The Siblinghood of Emigrated Queers by Jenya Stashkov and Vladislava Petrova brings together eight interviews with Russian-speaking gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals who were forced to leave their countries (Russia and Kazakhstan) and start a new life in new places (Thailand, Argentina, and the United Kingdom). This book offers a broad panorama of human fates, hopes, and realities. All interviews were conducted before November 30, 2023, when the Russian Supreme Court declared the "LGBT international public movement" an "extremist organisation."
These interviews were initially shared during a charity reading as a play in March 2024, and have just been published compiled together in this book.
